, 12/01/2011] The Kelvingrove is a wonderful combination - natural history museum, cultural heritage and art gallery. Amazing Victorian building, which will facinate every architectural connoisseur. And the amazing thing is that it's all free. It is situated in the bohemian West End My family and I love to spend time in the museum - looking at the different collections, which change every month or so, having a cup of tea in the cafe while the kids play around us. Another great thing for someone not very knowledgable wen it comes to art is that there are two guided tours every day, which are also free. T

"Newly refurbished" at a cost of "several million pound", the Kelvingrove is not found wanting, even compared to the Burrel Collection, considered to be "the star". To the writer, Glasgow has accumulated "one of the best" collections of any town in Europe. This and the "magnificent" building that houses the collection, has made it "the most visited" museum in Scotland, and the UK "outside London".
