Nicola Smith visited the "sprawling" One Devonshire Gardens shortly after it was taken over by Hotel du Vin. The room itself had been refurbished and the author found it "spacious and luxurious" with the only criticism being that it was "a little dark". The room size was ample, with two armchairs as well as the king-size bed which she found "comfortable". In terms of features, this room had "all the usual mod cons" but had additional features including an electronic putting device.
