This journalist stayed at Ardailly House on the occasion of her third sojourn on Gigha, having previously stayed at the hotel. What motivated her and her husband's choice was the brochure's description of the proximity of "sea birds, seals and otters", which made this "renovated farmhouse" an attractive proposition for them. On arrival, they found themselves contemplating an "unrivalled view" over Jura, the Sound of Jura and Islay. They found the cottage to be both "clean" and "comfortable", if a little "simple".
