To me this monument is a rather typical Polish abomination - born of traditional and somehow bigoted Polish religiosity, combined with the veritable cult of personality that surrounded late Karol Wojtylla when on the Papal throne.
Realistic figure of the benevolent Pope in his ceremonial robes, it adds nothing to the location or town, although it's not strictly speaking artistically offensive.
