Crane over the Motlawa River (3.2 km) - The crane once played a dual role as a port crane and as Gdansk’s city gate. It has been in its present form since 1442-1444. The machinery of the crane is driven by a huge wooden wheel inside it, which was powered by men walking on it, like a giant hamster wheel.
