[iiqcheck-en, 19/12/2011] We traveled all over Germany for our honeymoon, staying two nights here, two nights there in six different locations. Hotel & Gasthof Schatten was by far the best hotel and best experience we had during our entire trip. After our first night there, we decided that the next time we come to Germany, this will be the ONLY place we come! We cannot say enough great things about this hotel.
[ChrisUK, 04/12/2010] A bit of a long walk from the centre and slightly shorter walk from the station but very close to the cycle and footpaths of the meadows to the south of Garmisch-Partenkirchen which are lovely.
I was shown my room and received help at the front desk from a lady who I believe to be the owner. She was very helpful and despite appearing slightly annoyed at my lack of German she tried her best to help me out in English.
The room was more homely then hotel-like but was very comfortable and clean. Shower was good and I had a great view of the ski jump.
