how sad that a life had to be lost in a four star hotel that had a blatant disregard for the Health and Safety issues. Whilst you are sipping your drinks or lying by the pool remember the boy who will now never be able to do this.

Over 12 months ago my husband and I were at this hotel. We were concerned about the angle at which the disabled ramps had been built and the general state of disrepair the indoor pool roof seemed to be in. My husband discussed this with the manager and he assured us it would be dealt with. A year later on our return, nothing had been done about the ramps and the pool roof had collapsed in one part, but the pool was still open and it was leaking badly in others. We again spoke to the Manager who again siad it would be addressed. We returned home on the 19th December 2007.
On the 20th December we received a call to tell us our 15 year old nephew had drowned in the very pool we had complained about. He had been sucked into the motor that took water from the pool to the water shoot. I had no safety cover in situ nor any cut off valve. He became lodged in the opening and was unable to free himself.
He was 15 years of age.
Would stay here now??????
