From West and South:
- The easiest way to get there, is to take the motorway IP 5, then exit in Guarda and take Pinhel, and then Freixo towards EN 221.
- Go through Freixo and then take the direction of Mogadouro.
- Quinta do Salgueiro is on the EN 221, 1.9 miles from Freixo.
From North:
- Arriving from Mogadouro: continue on the EN 221 for about 1.9 miles, before reaching Freixo, where you will find Quinta do Salgueiro.
- If arriving from Mirandela, take the Vila Flor direction on the EN 215, then the EN 102.
- Go through Moncorvo and take the direction of Freixo, EN 220. Quinta do Salgueiro is about 8 miles from Moncorvo on EN 221.
From East:
- Exit Salamanca for the C-517, go through Vitigudino, then Lumbrales.
- Shortly after Lumbrales, take Hinojosa of Duero direction and then Salto de Saucelle.
- After crossing the river dam, Freixo is only 5 miles from there. Take the Mogadouro direction, and after having crossed the village, Quinta do Salgueiro is about 1.9 miles from Freixo.
The house is situated in north-east Portugal, next to the Spanish border, in Douro International Natural Park.
The river Douro, well known for its vineyards, is where the world-famous port wine originates.
