We visited this restaurant in Oct 2008 while my family visited us in Frankfurt. We took them around town and ended up having lunch at this restaurant. It is centrally located and just right opposite the city hall. There were outside sitting area as well as inside. There is a ground floor and a first floor. It was a sunny day but we decided to stay inside. We went to the first floor and there were two rooms. There were one large sitting area and one private small room with 10 seating. There were 7 of us and we chose the private room because the first floor was empty and the waiter was ok about it. The waiter was actually quite friendly. It was nice to have a private room with the view of the city hall.
We started looking at the menu and the prices were quite expensive. Well it is located at a tourist place so we had to pay for the tourist prices. We ordered some traditional German food and apple wine (famous from this region). The drinks actually tasted ok. But the food tasted horrible and looks horrible. My fiancé had a pork shank and it actually really smelly. I had a pork schnitzel which wasn't fried with breadcrumbs. It was just a normal pork chop with bad sour mushroom sauce. That was the worst schnitzel I had ever tasted. Now we understood why the restaurant was quite empty and other people only had drinks and not food.
It is not recommended at all to visit this restaurant for food. There are so many other restaurants around the area with better food.
