We went to this museum on 25Apr09 while we are on the Night of Museums activity. The ticket was EUR12 per person which you can enter 46 participated museums. It is located in the city centre and right next to the Frankfurt City Hall. The closest tube station is Dom/Römer station. It is also very close to the river.
The building actually looks very dull and boring from the outside. There are two levels for the exhibitions. The first level contains some statues and paintings (like Jesus and Virgin Mary). It was quite boring and it was so hot inside. The second level contains a model of the old town of Frankfurt, a model of the old town after the bombing at World War II. The old town was actually destroyed and everything were newly built or restored. It was quite interesting to learn the history of the town. The old town model also has labels on most of the buildings to show what they were before. There are also paintings, videos and illustrations of the old town.
We enjoyed finding out the history of the town. It is worth going if you are interested in the history of the town.
