[roseycheeks, 06/05/2009] On 25Apr09, my fiancé and I joined the Night of the Museums activity. It is a yearly activity which allows you to get into all the participated museums with a special price of EUR12 per person. The price also includes frequent bus transfers.
This is one of the museums that we visited on that night. It is located on the south side of the River Main. The closest station will be Schweizer Platz tube station. It is just a minute away walking distance.
When we arrived at the museum, we just showed our special ticket to get into the museum. It was very crowded and hot inside. We only managed to

[roseycheeks, 06/05/2009] We went to this museum on 25Apr09 while we are on the Night of Museums activity. The ticket was EUR12 per person which you can enter 46 participated museums. It is located in the city centre and right next to the Frankfurt City Hall. The closest tube station is Dom / Römer station. It is also very close to the river.
The building actually looks very dull and boring from the outside. There are two levels for the exhibitions. The first level contains some statues and paintings (like Jesus and Virgin Mary). It was quite boring and it was so hot inside. The second level contains a model of the old

[roseycheeks, 06/05/2009] This restaurant is just 15 minutes walking distance from my home and I've been there so many times already. I think their steaks are the best that I've ever tried!
This restaurant is located on the west side of the city centre and it is just right next to the Westend tube station. It is quite convenient to just walk from the city centre. The building is just like a Bungalow with a garden at the entrance. There are plenty of tables and chairs for the summer months. The sitting inside are also nice and comfortable. There are big square tables which could fit about 10 people.
I usually go fo

[roseycheeks, 29/04/2009] We went to the Archäologisches Museum during the Night of Museums on 25Apr09. The price of the tickets was €12 per person for 46 participated museums. The entrance fee is €6 but it is free for the last Saturday of the month. The museum is closed on Mondays. The interior of the museum is quite nice and it's got a very high ceiling with exposed beams.
This is the first museum that we visited that night. It is located in the city centre. We walked all the way from home. But the closest tube station is Willy-Brandt-Platz and it is only 5 minutes away.
This museum is connected to the Institut f

[roseycheeks, 29/04/2009] We visited this restaurant in Oct 2008 while my family visited us in Frankfurt. We took them around town and ended up having lunch at this restaurant. It is centrally located and just right opposite the city hall. There were outside sitting area as well as inside. There is a ground floor and a first floor. It was a sunny day but we decided to stay inside. We went to the first floor and there were two rooms. There were one large sitting area and one private small room with 10 seating. There were 7 of us and we chose the private room because the first floor was empty and the waiter was ok about

[roseycheeks, 29/04/2009] My Zeil is actually a new shopping mall opened a month ago (end of March). It is located in the city centre. We managed to go there on the 3rd day of opening. It was packed with all the curious people who wanted to take a first look at this shopping mall.
The building actually looks very amazing from the outside. It has a huge hole through the middle and you can actually see through it. The exterior of the building was made with glass and the interior of the building is also very nice. There are 6 floors in the building and there are about 80 shops inside the building. There are lifts and a

[roseycheeks, 29/04/2009] We went to Alt-Sachsenhausen on Jan 2009, when my family visited us in Frankfurt. We took them around town and then the final destination was Alt-Sachsenhausen. It is located on the south side of the river Main. It wasn't that far away so we actually walked all the way from home. Frankfurt is actually not that big and you can go on foot everywhere. But if you prefer to take a public transport then the closest tube station will be Schweizer Platz. It is just 2 to 3 stops away from the town centre.
This old town is very different from the city centre. You will actually get a very traditional o

[roseycheeks, 29/04/2009] On 25Apr09, my fiancé and I joined the Night of the museums activity in Frankfurt and it only happens once a year. We bought our ticket at the box office at the Hauptwache tube station in the town centre. The tickets were €12 per person and the time was between 7pm and 2am. We got full access to all 46 participated museums and bus transfers were provided within the price. We only managed to go to 4 museums and the Commerzbank Arena. Some of the museums were really packed!
One of the museums that we visited was the Museum for Modern Art. It is located in the town centre and the nearest tube st

[ArndtRuhe, 12/11/2008] This, in October 2008, newest hotel of the 25hours family is within walking distance of the Frankfurt main station (ask for the short cut to dead end of Niddastrasse). Eventhough the neighbourhood is rough, with red light district and heavy drug consumption next door, the location offers a cosy atmosphere and convenient distances to both the financial business district of Frankfurt and the fair grounds. The hotel takes you on a trip through interior design of the last century: every floor is designed according to a different time period of the 20th century. Levis has its German headquarter in

[sharkel, 07/04/2007] We stayed in The Best Western Frankfurt Plaza in July 2006 as part of our fabulous summer holiday in Austria and Germany. Not having booked any of the trip I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel in Frankfurt. I was even more pleased due to the rather grotty hostel we had just frequented in Innsbruck, Austria. Anything would have been better than that!
The hotel is a three star and has forty five rooms all easily accessible by a lift in the main reception.
Location
The plaza is located on Esslinger Strasse which is about a ten minute walk from hauptbanhof - the main train station in
