Later in the day, you can relax and dine in style in the comfortable Loch View Restaurant or choose from the inexpensive menu available in the public bar. Either way, you can enjoy the spectacular views over the fast-flowing narrows to the mountains beyond.
The menu features delicious home-cooked meals featuring superb local produce, including fresh seafood, game and other traditional Scottish dishes.

The bar has a real log fire in colder weather and features occasional live music. On the West Coast of Scotland, the hotel has a great location on the northern shore of Loch Leven, in the heart of Lochaber – “The Outdoor Capital of the UK". Set amid vast peaks, rugged glens and deep lochs, the Glencoe and Lochaber area is probably the finest region in Scotland for a wide variety of outdoor sporting and leisure pursuits. There are miles of unspoilt countryside and mountain areas, with walks and climbs ranging from the very easy to those for the experienced walker or climber.
The hotel is situated next to the Ballachulish Bridge, in one of Scotland’s most breathtaking regions, rich in natural beauty, steeped in history, and a long-time favourite of filmmakers. The hotel’s relaxing atmosphere, stunning views, magnificent surroundings and fresh, clean air also make it an excellent choice for a restful, stress-free break away from it all.By Car:
The hotel is just off the A82, the main Edinburgh / Glasgow to Fort William road. From the South, turn right immediately after Ballachulish Bridge. From the North, turn left immediately before Ballachulish Bridge. With a beautiful loch-side setting and dramatic views of the mountains, this family-run hotel offers free Wi-Fi and charming accommodation, great for a relaxing break or an activity holiday.
In one of the most spectacular, naturally beautiful regions of Scotland, the Loch Leven Hotel is a traditional Scottish Highlands hotel near Glencoe, Ballachulish, Fort William and Ben Nevis.
The hotel was originally established in the 17th century as a coaching inn and ferry terminal for the Ballachulish Ferry (when this was merely a small rowboat). Since taking over in December 1999, your hosts, Hilary and her partner John, have sympathetically modernised and completely refurbished the hotel.
