[fizzytom, 10/07/2010] One of the first things that visitors to Malta notice is the fleet of cheerful yellow buses that cover the whole island, especially the very distinctive older ones. Thanks to these buses and the relatively small size of the island, getting around by public transport is simple and cheap.
Buses are centred on the circular bus station in Valletta but services cover the whole island. However, as the island is small, bus routes tend to take in most towns before reaching their end destination and this doesn't make the journey excessively lengthy.
