This hotel boasts a premium location right on the bank of the river Arno overlooking the Ponte Vecchio bridge. The bridge, Uffizi Gallery and Piazza della Signoria are only a few steps from away. Also minutes away from designer shopping street Via Tornabuoni. Central train station S.M. Novella (which has bus connection to the airport) is at least 15-min walk from the hotel (5 mins by taxi).
The property is a 4-storey traditional Renaissance building that has been fully renovated but retained period features. There is a roof garden on the 4th floor.
The lobby is grand with marble floors. There is a free internet corner in the lobby.
Rooms are medium in size. They are clean, well-appointed and comfortable. The décor is in soft, natural colours, but perhaps slightly old-fashioned and dated. Bathrooms are generally small in size. Some rooms have splendid views of the river whilst others face the side streets.
There is no restaurant in the hotel. Snack bar serves drinks and light meals. Excellent hot & cold buffet breakfast with plentiful choice of both continental and English breakfast and attentive staff.
