The restaurant is located at the port end of Finikounda in an elevated position on the hill. This provides great views of the town during the day and even a better one during the evening with the towns illuminations being reflected onto the sea.
There is a small inside dining area probably used more in the winter by the locals. The best seating areas are on terraces which are situated at different levels.
Greek music is played at a low level unless there is Greek entertainment on then it can be loud but it is a great evening out and it is free.
Service seemed a little slow, could have blamed it on not being noticed when we entered the first time but it was the same on the second occasion. This is not a problem usually as your on holiday and whats the rush just lean back on your chair and chill with a nice glass of Retsina and a beautiful lady, but that was the problem it took a while to give you the menu and take the drinks order.
The menu has an excellent choice of Greek cuisine, my wife and I like to eat the traditional food when on holiday as this is probably what they cook best and it did not disappoint. The stifado (beef and baby onions in a tomato sauce) was delicious with the beef melting in my mouth, the chicken kebab was also very nice marinated in herbs and some type of sauce. The salad was very fresh and tasted devine so much better than at home and all this washed down by a very cheap litre of Retsina (£4).
This is a very nice restaurant with the best views of Finikounda, food and drink is spot on, if they could get the initial service right when you enter I would not be able to fault it.
