[more]Dar Pomorza (Gift of Pomerania) is an old tall ship (a frigate), which was bought with money gathered in a public collection (thus name) as a training ship for the students of Polish Maritime College. It did that job for 50 years and is now a museum showing the reality of life on a tall ship as well as many objects from the past of the vessel.
It is now moored by the principal tourist promenade of Gdynia.
Dar Pomorza is currently (November 2006) closed for renovation. It will reopen in 2007 - please check the website for opening hours.
