The centre of street life in Fès

The avenue Hassan II shows his true character after dark. When the lights are on, and all Fès is having their evening walk this avenue has an exeptional atmosphere. It is full of people walking up-and-down, and all the tables the terraces of the café's are occupied.
During Ramadan the contrast is even more visible. Before the Iftar (time to eat) the street is deserted. After having taken their Iftar meal everybody seems out on the street.
