Frommers describes the Moorea Pearl as "Moorea's newest luxury resort". Though the hotel doesn't offer any special views (only towards the sea, with the bungalows which "block the views"), snorkelling is "excellent" at this property, according to Frommers. The author recommends to go for one of the overwater bungalows or one of the beach bungalows with their own pools. However, it's stated that the whole spectrum of accommodation at the Pearl consists of a "mixed litter". So, Frommers points out that there are some garden bungalows which are "less private" than others due to their location (duplex). The interior design of the bungalows feature "tasteful native wood accents" and "ample" bathrooms (with shower only). The standard rooms in the main building are "spacious". The hotel provides a "large" restaurant with "big" roofs and a pool bar. Though there's only a "smallish" beach, the swimming pool is however "big". Frommers awards this hotel their second-best rating, namely 2 Frommers Stars, meaning "Frommer's Very Highly Recommended".
