Got a deal from a travel agent friend and went for a week in Luxor at the new Hilton. Stayed in other Hiltons before and this was like a mix of cool looking interiors and Disney Egypt! Great to plug in your ipod in your room in the clock so no need to take your speakers. Disappointed the spa was shut but we still had a massage. You can also use the infinity pool which has bubbling seats in it! Usual Hilton food like burgers sandwhiches and pasta. Good breakfast and some local bits on the menu didnt eat at the chinese as not the cheapest. Didnt get sick though which is a first!

We had a really lovely stay. Beautifully clean and attractive room (we were upgraded to deluxe which had a balcony looking onto the Nile with no other buildings obscuring the view which is unusual I think, because the hotel is right on the river). The pools are lovely with underwater sun loungers. Food was good, we loved the fresh hot oven bread to begin with and having such a huge choice. The staff were lovely too, really making an effort but not at all pushy, genuinely friendly and professional. Its a lovely quiet spot. Weve done a Nile cruise before but this had all of the benefits with much much better food if you dont like traveling about.
