A truly high-end hotel, modern and contemporary but missing any local Swiss style. You cannotbeat its location in the heart of the financial disctrict close to the branches of Swiss Bank and many offices of global players. And Lake Zurich is also only a few steps from the entrance of the hotel.

The hotel itself is really a nice place, modern but cozy with everything one needs. Rooms are okay sized and have everything the hard working business traveler needs for a productive and relaxing stay.

Felicity describes the hotel as a "stunning" just "two-year-old" building which is located "just off" Zurich´s "main artery". It is also "close" to the railway station and a lake.
In her opinion the hotel has an "impressive contemporary design and interior". The lobby is really big, she says that it is an "enchanting space" with a "10-metre-high ceiling and mood-enhancing lights". She also speaks about the bamboo that divides the reception area from the lounge bar. Angled mirrors let a lot of day light into the room. In the corridors as well as on other places in the hotel you may find "pieces of original art". There are "interesting" wooden pictures" in the "calm" corridors. According to the designer this should stand for some kind of "Urban forest". The Urban-Forest-style can be also found in the rooms. The author stayed in an standard-class executive king room that had "floor-to-ceiling windows" that were "overlooking one of the open courtyards" what made the room "especially quite". There were "special" window vents that allow to open them while using the air condition. The beds were made up with "Italian linen". Her bedroom had a "separate rain shower", a "marble" bathtub with a candle to create a "relaxing effect". There was also a TV and "huge deep-bowl sinks". She describes the Lounge restaurant as a "relaxed" area with "comfortable chairs", an "open" fire and "contemporary art and lighting". There are breakfast and light snacks served and during the author´s stay there was a "constant flow of people". On the ground floor the hotel has also another restaurant, the Parkhuus. The restaurant is described as "beautiful" with "simple, contemporary white decor" and an "open" kitchen that uses "fresh organic" ingredients and serves "international" cuisine. There is also a "3000-bottle" wine cellar". Furthermore the hotel has also a "private" dining room. The Onyx bar, that also belongs to the hotel is "popular" as well with locals as guests. It was "buzzing with people" when the author went to the bar that offers "boutique" vodkas and whiskeys in a "trendy" setting. 80% of the hotel´s visitors are business travellers and that does not surprise as there are more then 1000 square meters of meeting rooms and a business center that is opened 24 hours a day. Last but no least the hotel has a "beautiful bamboo-wood floor" in the spa. There are a sauna, a steam room, two treatment room, a gym and a relaxation room with "warm, dimmed lighting and loungers". The author comes to the conclusion that the Hyatt is situated in a "prime location", has the "peaceful atmosphere of an art gallery" with the "efficiency and friendliness" of any five-star hotel. It is "creative without being over the top" and the facilities are "excellent, stylish, modern" and "practical".
