It is a four star hotel. The main hotel building was built in a pyramid shape. The two arms that are attached are the parts of the building were the rooms are. The building looks very interesting. The parking is free for guests.

There are three types of rooms that you can book. These are Superior, Deluxe and Executive. We had a superior room. The room itself was a surprise. It was very light with a super bed. The decoration was atmospheric. Upon entering there was a greeting on the television. The bathroom was spacious with a bath and separate shower and of course there were soaps, towels and bathing cap. Nice detail was the kettle in the room with bags of instant coffee, tea and chocolate. Our room had a balcony.

The hotel has a restaurant called the Garden Brasserie. In this cosy room at the bottom of the pyramid is the morning breakfast. We dined in Maarssen so I can tell nothing about the menu in the evening of the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was very extensive. They had various types of rolls and sandwiches, many types of bread and cheese. There was a toaster to toast your bread. Also there were a variety of juices and dairy products like cheese and yogurt. Unfortunately the rolls were a little hard and tough.

In the basement of the Hotel is the extensive Leisure Centre. This is only open to hotel guests. Here is a fitness room which includes a treadmill, two step machines and a number of devices on to train your back and arm muscles. There are free lockers to store your things. There is a space with tanning bed which you can use for free. This is a super sunbed and after 10 minutes you already have a tan.

After having a work out you can relax in the sauna room. It was built in Roman style and looked very clean and taking care of. When you enter there are towels waiting for you. You have the steam bath which is not great there is room for 4 people. Then you have the traditional sauna. This is a lot bigger, with room for about 10 people. There are four showers.

We paid about 129 euros for a night in a superior room and we had breakfast. A good price for a good hotel. This hotel is highly recommended. The welcome at reception was very welcome. We were verbally introduced to the hotel and even though there is a restaurant in the hotel the lady told us about some nice restaurants in Maarssen when we asked. The whole hotel and the rooms were clean. What could be a disadvantage is that it is not clear whether or not you can enter the sauna in swimming clothes. For I can say that it is disturbing for example when you are with children or there do not appreciate it is annoying to be confronted with naked people.

My final conclusion is that especially for the price we have paid a great place to stay and I definitely recommend this hotel. The location is very good and the hotel is comfortable with friendly staff and a very comfortable hotel room.
