This hotel opened in November 2007 as a "trendy" destination for Brooklyn. Although it's an "eight storey glass tower" the surroundings are an unprepossessing "industrial neighbourhood" consisting of "unlovely blocks" and a foreground view of bins with a "sliver of canal".

The interior is "minimalist cool" with glass everywhere but little seating in the lobby. The reviewer's room was "medium size" so that the 42" TV seemed "too large". Furniture was "sleekly modern" and the bed was "luscious". Glass and mirrors were again in evidence, especially in the bathroom which was "really, three compartments" with glass partitions. Although "white and ultramodern", the "blue accents" meant it was not "cold".

The restaurant was not open at the time of the reviewer's visit, and the breakfast buffet was "modest". Room service was a "work in progress".

Overall the reviewer thought it overpriced and cramped for its location.
