I stayed in Irene Villa last summer, unfortunately not in the building you can see on all the pictures in the internet, but a much older on just near the VERY BUSY highway out of Ierapetra. Though the beach is just across the street, it is with kids really dangerous due to heavy traffic.
The owner didnt' want to change me the room, so I wanted to leave, but the owner didn't give me back my deposit , so only then she offered me a nice, clean and modern room in the second building, but charged me more from my deposit.
Fazit: the WIFI - Wlan Spot did never work, the first building is old with dark rooms and directly near the very busy street - traffic all day day and night long!!

The building behind is really beautiful, not noisy at all with clean and sunny rooms. Inbetween there is a small the pool. You cannot walk to Ierapetra, you defintely need a car.
