[more]The Victory Monument is situated in Famagusta's New Town, in the middle of a roundabout opposite side of the Land Gate and at the beginning of İsmet İnönü Bulvarı, the main road which is also known as Salamis Road.
The building-high bronze sculpture shows the head of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (1881-1938) on top of a pyramid of human bodies which symbolize both civilians as well as soldiers who died during the war in 1974.
