[more]Nuuksio national park is a rural forest area of 45 square kilometers located in the city of Espoo, just 20 kilometers from the heart of Helsinki. Close location to the capital city makes the park area special even in European scale.
Nuuksio offers very good opportunities for hiking, wandering and camping. There are also some opportunities for business meetings with saunas in the middle of the forest. Places for open fire are available as well.
In the forest, four different natural paths have been made, between 2,5 and 7,5 kilometers for visitors to use. Nuuksio national park has endangered animals, plants and fungi.
Visitors can reach the national park by car but also with public transportation. There are bus connections available from Helsinki and also from Espoo train station.
