Temple - Manchester, United Kingdom
You have to see this place! (23.12.2007 18:50)
This place is fabulous! It is one of the smallest bars in Manchester and is actually a converted toilet (one of them old types that was in the middle of the street and you walked down a flight of stairs to it). The bar in some ways has not been converted too much as it still retains the tiles walls and is the same in the shape as in that it is long and slim. The bar itself has been placed at [more...] -
Dukes 92 - Manchester, United Kingdom
Lovely! (23.12.2007 18:16)
Dukes 92 is in a lovely area of Manchester as it overlooks the canal and the streets surrounding it are cobbled. It is relatively easy to find too as you can follow the road down until you come to the bar from the main road of Deansgate. The bar is pretty trendy and is decorated with a lot of dark wood and is very stylish. The bar tends to be lit in the evenings too by candle light to create a [more...] -
5th Avenue - Manchester, United Kingdom
Buzzing night! (22.12.2007 12:27)
A night out in 5th Avenue is pretty much always a good one! Entry can sometimes be difficult if you're not a student as they rn lots of these nights as this place is just so poular with them - probably due to the cheap drinks the amount of other students in there but, if you can get in or it's not even a main student night (they'll still be loads in there!) then it's well worth a visit. The [more...] -
Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet Centre - Ellesmere Port, United Kingdom
Not my first choice (20.12.2007 20:57)
Cheshire Oaks designer outlet has been open quite a while now and at first it was lt my mother raved about - I presumed it must be pretty good and so decided to take a visit one day. The is easily accesible by car and as this was the only way for me to make the journey as travelling from another town altogher I founbd it to be quite easy to find as it is signposted on the main motorway, [more...] -
The Merseyway Shopping Centre - Stockport, United Kingdom
Lots of variety (20.12.2007 20:09)
This is probably one of the best loacal shopping areas to me outside of Manchester itself and going into the Trafford centre. There are lots and lots of shops to choose from and they have something that will suit everyone. They have all the most well know stores you'd expect to find in a main shopping complex such as Boots, M&S, WhSmith, Thortons, etc etc. Plus they have loads of little [more...] -
The Grafton - Manchester, United Kingdom - September, 2003
Not worth the money (18.12.2007 15:06)
Overall I would never stay here again - My trip was literally due to the fact that I couldn't get home that evening after missingthe last city centre train and at the time there being no late night buses to my local area. The owner charged us something silly like £50 for the night even though it was literally just a bed without even private facilities! This was some time ago and i'd hope by [more...] -

Cloud 23 - Manchester, United Kingdom
Up in the sky!! (16.12.2007 22:48)
The hilton hotel is home the the 'cloud 23' bar. The bar hence it's name is 23 floors up in the building and to get into it you have to take the only lift that goes up to it which doesn't stop at any of the other floors. The lobby has a red carpet outside the lift that goes to it and entry is limited to 200 people so it can be a bit difficult to gain entry, especially as the hotel guest have [more...] -
Bar 38 - Manchester, United Kingdom
small but nice! (16.12.2007 16:56)
Bar 38 is not easy to miss as it's on one of the main roads in Manchester where a lot of other big bars and clubs are. When you first see it it looks only tiny from the outside as it is a traingle shape with a glass front on the main road. However once you are inside it does seem bigger even though really each floor is still due to the shape of the building. The club serves a load of [more...] -
42nd Street - Manchester, United Kingdom
Indie for the students (16.12.2007 16:40)
42ND Street is the place to be in Manchester if you are a student - I have been refusee entry before now because i'm not and hand't got a NUS card! However if you can get in it's a brilliant night - not every night is student night so you can get in without being one but the place is simply ful of the young ones. 42nd street has been around in manchester for quite some time and plays most [more...]
