I feel compelled to write a review on the Sheraton Miramar in El Gouna, Egypt as my wife and I and our two children have been there on several occasions and love the place!
Although the decor is a little tired, the overall design, colours and structure of the Nubian style low level buildings is spectacular and relaxing at the same time.
During the day the pool service is efficient and the drinks cold and at night the whole place takes on a different atmosphere and the subtle lighting creates a relaxing mood.
The staff are fantastic - nothing is too much trouble - and the food varied and interesting.
If your into watersports the fabulous Mangroovey beach is a short but cheap taxi ride away and has Kitesurfing along with a bedouin tented area for traditional tea, coffee and shisha's.
Also there is a very good restaurant on the beach with a range of pizzas, snacks and meals with ice cold beer!
Lots of shade and beds to rent at a reasonable charge and the fabulous entertainment provided by the enthusiastic international kitesurfers. All in all a great location to recharge the batteries and get a great tan at the same time!
