De Vooruitgang (The Development in Dutch) is situated on De Markt (the market place) in the middle of the centre of Eindhoven. It is a really good place to start your evening with a dinner or to just have a drink or lunch on the terrace during your shopping spree!
The menu is quite extensive with as well typical Dutch dishes. In the evening you can still sit outsite due to the heaters on the terrace (what´s very nice if you are a smoker because as from the first of July it isn´t allowed to smoke in restaurants or bars).
Inside is also very nice. The dinning area is upstars, and downstars are tables where you can just sit and have a drink. In the weekend the tables and chairs will be removed around 10 pm and then it is time to dance. Generaly the people who go out here are between 25 and 40 years old and the music that they play is mostly some kind of house music. You don´t need to dance, most of the people were just chatten and that is no problem because of the fact that the music isn´t playing to loud.
The prices of the menu are just normal prices for the Netherlands (keep in mind that Eindhoven in general is cheaper than Amsterdam), and so are the prices for drinks. (Around € 2,- for a beer).
It´s just a great place to start your evening with a dinner and then a drink and a dance before you can move on to one of the next dancing spots in Eindhoven!

It is situated in the city centre, so almost everything in Eindhoven is on a walking distance.
