[jo145, 15.07.2008] Edinburgh's most famous landmark and tourist attraction, is at the eastern end of the Royal Mile, a good climb, reasonably easy for those who are fit, and there is parking for "disabled visitors".
St Margaret's chapel, the Great Hall, the Royal Apartments and the Scottish National War Memorial are all interesting places to see. The One o'clock gun is something to "set your watch by"!
Times and prices are given, Tricia, the author of this review, suggests it would have been better to have had a guided tour. Most things were seen in one hour, she learned a lot, it was worth visiting but she is not sure on value for money.
