Compiled for you: The facts!Details The Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre

Description: The production of whisky in Scotland dates back over 500 years. The Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre is a museum and miniature theme park dedicated to this Scottish tradition. The introductory tour is a guided walk through the different processes involved. There is a model showing how a distillery is laid out and adults are given "a wee dram" to taste. The heritage centre ghost then explains the concepts of "nose", "angel share" and "maturation". The tour finishes with a ride through a historical pageant in a whisky barrel. The Centre has its own shop and restaurant.
