[t4mof, 08.09.2005] Kieran Falconer appreciated the surroundings of this 5 star hotel situated just 5 minutes away from Princes Street, the famous shopping area in Edinburgh. He describes the hotel as "plush and ever so slightly decadent", enjoying the "sumptuous" bathroom, the four-poster bed and the one on one attention from his own butler for the duration of his stay.

The food served in the evenings was varied and breakfast was satisfying. Disabled access is good with disabled parking spaces, ramp access into the hotel and large print menus.

This hotel is recommended as a "nice retreat for a romantic weekend" where the pampering in included.
