[elspeth334, 28.09.2007] The author describes the Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh as having such "attention to detail in the elegant rooms" where the colours are "picked to echo the country's heathers and moors". He continues "the sheer élan that has re-created the Edwardian splendor" is captured in this grand " former railroad hotel" and says that "staying at the Balmoral" is a "special introduction to Edinburgh." Located just below the "landmark clock tower marking the east end of Princes Street" he describes the "lively buzz" which gives you the feeling that you are at the " center of city life". The Hotels main restaurant is called "Number One" and is reported as "plush and stylish" serving "excellent Scottish seafood and game". It is suggested that perhaps if you overindulge in the restaurant you can "recuperate at the luxurious spa".
