[juicy_lucy, 14/08/2006] FINDING THE HOTEL I do like Edinburgh as a city but, like any big city, if you don't know where you are going then you are a major danger on the road. After irritating several drivers, we saw Festival Square. Excellent! We were there! Or were we? It transpired that whilst we could see the hotel, there was no way we were going to get to it with ease. A signwe saw a sign for the hotel but then nothing more, and ended up in a car park which belonged to another hotel. The author describes the Sheraton Grand and Spa as being a "modern hotel" whose "sweeping grand staircase" leads to bedrooms that are "well above average size". He continues, the bedrooms are "traditionally decorated, with tartan furnishings and prints of old Edinburgh" while the "grandest rooms" have views of "Edinburgh Castle", the "spa's rooftop pool" also has great views of the city.
