[iiqcheck-en, 13/02/2012] generally ok. room a bit cold on late arrival.
[iiqcheck-en, 01/02/2012] The hotel was ok. Nice room and clean, spacy bathroom.
Good size bed, only one pillow, for me too soft.
[iiqcheck-en, 01/02/2012] Hotel is in a nice location, close to main train station, Ku street and old town. By few minutes walking, you may reach all of them. Staffs are friendly, rooms are clean and breakfast is good. I think a small refrigerator and safe box can complete the rooms.
[bmoller, 30/01/2012] This hotel on first impression is great - nicely furnished, large rooms, spacious with lots of nice touches when you arrive. It is also in a good location, we got a good price by booking through trivago and when we arrived we were pleased with our choice.
However, it is far from perfect and the biggest problem we had was with customer service - we had one 'friendly' guy on reception and one really 'angry' guy. We thought his attitude was poor throughout our stay - he just seemed unfriendly throughout the whole stay and at the end, when we had a query about whether breakfast was included in

[iiqcheck-en, 28/12/2011] We had a very pleasant stay. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast had a large choice. The staff were polite and helpful.
[iiqcheck-en, 21/11/2011] A cozy hotel with a delicious breakfasts :) Very suitable for business trip. Close to Konigsallee
[iiqcheck-en, 11/11/2011] Great location, Nice Staff and Room Seeting, Good Breakfast
[hannah_i, 05/07/2011] The 'zoo' is especially great for children interested in fish, penguins, otters, alligators and other aquatic animals and reptiles, but also extremely informative for those a little more interested in the finer details of the many species found at the aquazoo (most information only displayed in German language). Since the zoo is situated in the grounds of Nordpark, you can easily spend most of the day in the zoo and surrounding gardens. All in all, it's very affordable and worth a visit!
[fizzytom, 07/06/2011] There's a tendency to think, when it comes to television towers, that when you've visited one, you've been to them all. Actually, you couldn't be further from the truth; no two teletowers are alike, no matter how much they may look to be, even close up. For me this is not necessarily a good thing because it's Himself, my faithful and ever present travelling companion, who always insists on visiting any available teletower. Curiously, although I am fine in the highest of cable cars or halfway up the steepest of mountains and love to look out of the window on planes, I tend to feel horribly vert

[Adimanusask, 07/05/2011] The hotel is a family business owned by a very nice and helpful couple. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, the bedroom was very clean and tidy, and the staff were very helpful. Everything is very stylish and classy.
We will definitely visit again!
[vasilevn, 21/12/2010] It's a good and clean place, but not for pampered persons. Some of the rooms are very small, the floor is covered with terracotta which is not so convenient. The breakfast is average with the exception of the eggs ( they are perfect ). The parking is free, the internet too ( sometimes not working ).
In general - the hotel corresponds to his price levels and if you need just a sleep point for your trip - this is a right place, especially if you want to be closer to the airport.
[sian, 03/05/2010] I went to la Donna Cannone to celebrate my anniversary. We wanted to try out a new restaurant in the area and were a little bit nervous about how the food would be before we went, however we were pleasantly surprised!
The food and wine is quite highly priced, the cheapest bottle of wine is around €23 and main dishes cost between €20-€28. Even so the quality of food that you get is amazing and not too much, not too little. I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant again, but it is a place that should be reserved for special occasions.
The waiters were very friendly and the atmosphere

[jjdh-y, 08/09/2009] Dusseldorf Mitte hotel is located close to everything, including the train station if you're travelling that way. Very friendly staff and large clean rooms. Breakfast was one of the best this trip. Of the hotels in our journey of Brussels (BE), Assen (NL) and Germany this one was the cheapest and the best - a real value. Would stay again if I re-visit there and would definitely recommend to others. Within walking distance of major shopping avenues and river.
[koshkha, 07/03/2009] When I first I graduated I joined an international company and worked in sales and marketing. My first overseas 'territory' was Germany where I worked with a local agent who was based near Koln. As a result I bobbed back and forth to Germany using Dusseldorf as my main airport. I wasn't the only one - in fact most of my colleagues were also back and forth and Dusseldorf airport usually had one or two of us passing through most weeks. Then in April 1996 fire broke out in the airport whilst two of my colleagues were sitting on a plane about to take off. 17 people died that day and many more were

[koshkha, 17/02/2009] Staying in Dusseldorf for a recent meeting I had one thing I didn't need to worry about - booking a restaurant. My boss lives near by and was happy to suggest a place and book it for us. Normally I have to choose and then spend all evening worrying about whether people like it or not. Eight of us were staying in the Sheraton at the airport so we'd met in the bar and grabbed two taxis into the city, armed only with the address of the restaurant. We allowed 15 minutes to get there and both taxis made it on time without any troubles.
When we pulled up outside everyone burst out laughing when t

[koshkha, 16/02/2009] We recently needed to arrange a business meeting with about 10 people and wanted to combine it with a trip to a trade-show in Cologne. I wanted to make everything as easy as possible for everyone so I persuaded my boss, who lives nearby, that we should base the meeting around Dusseldorf Airport. The advantage was that everyone we needed had access to direct flights to Dusseldorf and the boss could actually go home and see his wife and kids something he doesn't manage nearly often enough. We threw all the arrangements together very quickly and decided to book rooms for everyone at the Sheraton

[sian, 25/11/2008] The Stone is a great club in the Altstadt in Dusseldorf, however if you do not know Dusseldorf very well, you might have to ask some people to be pointed in the right direction, as it is not in the centre of Altstadt.
You have to be over 21 to enter and at the weekends you have to pay 5 euro entry. The place is always really busy and there is a bar at the front and at the back there is a dancefloor. When you enter into Stone you will receive a card which you have to use to order drinks, make sure that you remember this when you leave, because you have to pay for everything you drank when you

[sian, 25/11/2008] The Schaukel Stuhlchen is a great place to start a night out in Dusseldorf if you like rock / alternative music. It is a place that I go to regularly with friends and is always full and has a great atmosphere!
The place is pretty small, however there are two levels with seating and a bar at the entrance. The drinks are not too expensive, but the majority of people drink beer (make sure that you specify whether you would like a normal beer as the norm is to drink Alt dark beer). You can even order a yard of Alt where you get around 8-10 glasses of Alt beer in a wooden frame, which is a great if

[sian, 24/11/2008] This year (2008) the Christmas Market in Dusseldorf opened on Thursday 20th November. Last weekend I decided to go and see what was going on with my family!
It was cold and there was definitely a Christmassy feeling in the air as we had the first snow of the year! The city was packed (would advise if you can to go during the week) however there was a lot on offer, from small wooden figures to hang on the Christmas tree, to candles and stones and of course a lot of food!!!
Walking around town there is a completely different feel than other times of the year, you get extremely hungry with all
