A house with history: 1903 built as the motherhouse of the deaconesses of Kaiserswerth, an institution founded by Theodor Fliedner in 1836, it soon became a centre for the sisters. From here deaconesses were sent out to work in parishes, hospitals and schools all over the world. They only returned to the motherhouse to recover strength for their work, both physically and mentally. In 2002 the motherhouse was completely remodeled. Since then it has been a modern hotel and convention centre behind historical facades.
Today you can still find its ancient roots. Together with its new-gothic architecture, matching high standards for the hotel and congress areas, this makes the hotel MutterHaus unique. Although situated in one of Duesseldorf’s nicest districts with several recreation facilities, Duesseldorf Trade Fair and Duesseldorf International Airport are close by.
