Compiled for you: The facts!Details Cape Wrath

Description: Cape Wrath is the most north-westerly point on the mainland of the British Isles. It is located on a peninsula known as the Parph, which is owned by the Ministry of Defence. There is a lighthouse at Cape Wrath, which stands on top of the cliffs of Clo Mhor, these are the highest sea cliffs in Europe and they are home to huge seabird colonies that include Puffins, Guillemots, Razorbills, Kittiwakes and Fulmars.
It is only possible to reach Cape Wrath via a journey by both boat and minibus. The boat takes passengers across the Kyle of Durness where they are met by a minibus that takes them on the journey across the Parph to the lighthouse.
The isolation of this area has created an unique habitat for wildlife.
The current cost of the boat and minibus journey is £12 (18 Euros) for adults and £6 (9 Euros) for children.
