[more]The Playhouse Company complex consists of two Tudor-style buildings, the original Playhouse which dates from 1935 and the former Princess Theatre Cinema of 1926. The premises have been combined and now offer function venues and a 1 224-seater Opera Theatre as well as the Drama Theatre which seats 464 and the smaller, informal Loft where experimental productions are presented.
The Company provides a range of theatrical, dance and musical shows and is also involved in educational projects. Facilities include a recording studio and it is possible to rent props and costumes or partake in a guided tour of the complex.
