[more]Commonly known only as Kingsmead Stadium, this is the home ground of the Nashua Dolphins and, with seating for 25,000 spectators, it is also one of the largest South African cricket stadiums. Its first match was held in 1923 and it has also hosted the 1939 timeless Test and World Championship games.
Kingsmead Stadium is the finishing point bi-annually for the Comrades Marathon and is also the venue for local music festivals and other events.
