[pierrejacques, 06.08.2007] With its Victorian exterior the Dylan seems "as respectable as its surroundings in Dublin's affluent inner suburbs", but the interior is "flamboyant" with features including "baroque mirrors and abstract metal sculptures, and the lift is lined with studded leather". There is also a "buzzy, low-lit bar" which is frequented by "Dublin's media crowd" and where "cocktails are dispensed at an Art Nouveau-style pewter counter". For dining the Dylan offers a "French and Modern Irish restaurant" which is a "sea of cream leather lit by rows of miniature chandeliers" and, the author states, "the overall effect is dazzling." Paired with "charming staff", this hotel is ideal for those wishing to "enjoy a combination of modern exuberance and period charm". All guest rooms are "individually decorated", some even being "boldly contemporary" and all boasting "flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi, iPod docks and marble bathrooms with under-floor heating."
