Ski Dubai - Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Snow in Dubai? (11.03.2007 18:47)
The Ski Dubai attraction in Dubai is another one of the Sheikhs attempts to get Dubai on the map as being one of the top tourist areas in the world. This idea was really a case of turning the impossible into possible. As Dubai has all year round sun, beaches etc snow was to be out of the question, although I do remember a few years ago some snow flakes did fall in Dubai. A ski slope in Dubai is [more...] -

Be dazzled by the gold (09.03.2007 15:51)
When I went to Dubai I was very fortunate to have stayed in a hotel that was just a 5 minute walk for the Gold Souk. With the intention of maybe buying one piece of gold jewellery I actually ended up buying a whole lot more! GOLD SOUK EXPERIENCE The thing about the Gold Souk is that there are lines and lines of gold shops, the gold in the showcases resembles a candy shop window, from [more...] -
Wonder Bus Tours - Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Wet your appetite on the Wonderbus Tour (09.03.2007 12:08)
The Wonderbus tour is fantastic, especially for children. It looks like a normal bus by any account but shaped like a boat in attractive eye-catching colours of blue and yellow with pictures of dolphins on either side. We saw one when we were out and about, naturally by the shape and the colours my son spotted it first and was very curious to try it out. As he had insisted so much we decided to [more...] -

Any tourist in Dubai will find this mosque to be the largest and indeed beautiful of all mosques in Dubai. It is built of stone in an ancient Fatimid tradition. The mosque is really magnificent and is best seen at sunset when the entire mosque is lit up and is almost glowing. It is located in Jumeirah on Al Jumeirah Road and over time along with being a place of worship it is also now a major [more...] -

Whenever I travel to a new place and especially when I am travelling with my children I love to go to the museum to find out the country in questions background and history. It makes both an informative trip and fun day out for the whole family to enjoy. On our second day in Dubai we went to the Dubai Museum. It is actually based inside the ruins of Al Fahidi Fort.
