[jaygami1986, 12/08/2009] This review is about my time at the magnificent and luxury hotel the Burj Al Arab. I was lucky enough to spend two nights at this hotel during New Years Eve and New Years day 2008 / 2009. I had a friend who's dad did a tone of import export business and thus I even managed to stay their for free, yes that's right for free, under the condition that I paid for all my own food, and drink, which I was more than happy to at the time.
Now everyone has either heard about this hotel, been their or at least seen the pictures of what it looks like, and let me tell you its even more breathtaking in real li

[bkpriya, 13/07/2009] Went there in June 09. Not very pleased with the tour. The red tour takes you through crowded old city roads, through not worth seeing points, spending lot of time just on the road due to traffic. Not every bus top deck is covered or airconditioned. During summer, the hot air blowing through your face when the bus is cruising through the blue tour across the beach will only burn you. The only points that are worth seeing are Burj-Al-Arab, South Madina, Palm, Emirates Mall and Dubai Mall, and the rest of the points are not worth seeing, you are better off with a taxi, where you can spend enough

[TedyV, 24/06/2009] Unique hotel concept, luxury and yet relaxing environment. Something like Home away from Home
[MasonD, 16/06/2009] This hotel is really good....ambient view by the creek side....the swimming pool is massive and the courtesy of the hotel staff is so good....it was an ideal place for staying as the malls were nearby....

Mason
[roseycheeks, 12/03/2009] On April 2007, my fiance went to Dubai for his business trip for 4 days so I went along as well. His air ticket and the hotel room were paid for by his company. I used to work for an airline so I only pay for my stand-by air ticket.
Getting to the hotel
Once we arrived into the airport, we took a taxi to this 5-star hotel. It took about 20 minutes to get there and costed about AED30 (EUR7).
Check-in
My fiance went to the check in desk to get the key. It was nice and easy and it took about 10 minutes. While he was checking in, I was at the tourist desk to get information about the complim

[Jumata, 23/06/2008] The hotel is located right in the middle of Deira Commercial centre with just a few minutes walking distance to the endless rows of shops and souqs. One thing that really impressed me was the reception staff, Dominique who was very knowledgable and informative about the city. Humble and helpful is he that our 5-night stay in the hotel was just like home. The bell captains, Kassim and his friend are also very helpful who helped us out with our bags of items up to our hotel rooms. When come to getting taxi, the staff in Delhi Darbar Hotel was very cooperative. Bravo!
[Yatri, 22/05/2008] Dubai has no dearth of shopping malls. However, the best by far is the Mall of the Emirates.
[Yatri, 17/05/2008] Once a great airport, now a creaking heavyweight that can barely handle traffi.
[harry69, 20/04/2008] Not particularly clean and over priced!

[trivago traveller, 02/04/2007] this would have to be one of the worst experiences that we have evr had at any hotel ever.
[borntofly, 11/03/2007] The Ski Dubai attraction in Dubai is another one of the Sheikhs attempts to get Dubai on the map as being one of the top tourist areas in the world. This idea was really a case of turning the impossible into possible. As Dubai has all year round sun, beaches etc snow was to be out of the question, although I do remember a few years ago some snow flakes did fall in Dubai. A ski slope in Dubai is unbeleivable but yet a reality. It makes Dubai a place that has everything to offer. The dubai ski dome will also ultimately come in Dubais favour for when they will make a bid for the Olympics because

[borntofly, 11/03/2007] Dubais Wonderland resembles a funfair but much more activity, as you arrive towards it the theme park looks like a giant funfair with balloons, candy, games, rides, children laughing etc. It is located just opposite the Dubai creek and next to Creek Park so you cannot miss it! it has the usual games such as the shooting hoops game to win prizes, throwing bean sacks in order to win a cuddly toy, shooting tin cans, how-strong-are-you meter, they even have activities where you wear a harness and climb up a wall. There are strategy, skill and fun games here. The park is divided into 3 parts, the

[borntofly, 09/03/2007] When I went to Dubai I was very fortunate to have stayed in a hotel that was just a 5 minute walk for the Gold Souk. With the intention of maybe buying one piece of gold jewellery I actually ended up buying a whole lot more!
GOLD SOUK EXPERIENCE
The thing about the Gold Souk is that there are lines and lines of gold shops, the gold in the showcases resembles a candy shop window, from bangles to necklaces the choice is endless. Designs can be traditional or modern, bold or conservative, chunky or delicate if you have it in mind then its definitely on display. You can even have the type o

[borntofly, 09/03/2007] The Wonderbus tour is fantastic, especially for children. It looks like a normal bus by any account but shaped like a boat in attractive eye-catching colours of blue and yellow with pictures of dolphins on either side. We saw one when we were out and about, naturally by the shape and the colours my son spotted it first and was very curious to try it out. As he had insisted so much we decided to take him on the Wonderbus experience. Booking the tickets was very easy, which you can do in a number of ways, we booked througth the hotel we were staying at but you can also book online, from the Won

[borntofly, 08/03/2007] Any tourist in Dubai will find this mosque to be the largest and indeed beautiful of all mosques in Dubai. It is built of stone in an ancient Fatimid tradition. The mosque is really magnificent and is best seen at sunset when the entire mosque is lit up and is almost glowing. It is located in Jumeirah on Al Jumeirah Road and over time along with being a place of worship it is also now a major landmark and one that tourists add a must see factor to. Tourists are by far welcome to view the mosque from the outside but non muslims are not permitted to enter, although organised tours are held ever

[borntofly, 02/03/2007] Dubai International Airport was established in 1959 when the late Ruler of Dubai, HH sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum ordered for the construction to commence. The airport has been developed so that it is in the centre of Dubai meaning wherever you may be in Dubai you are always no more than 20 minutes away from the airport.
In a short span of time the airport has become one of the top ten recognised and envied airports of the world. When it opened in 1960 it only had the capacity of 9 airlines and served to a mere 20 destinations. But overtime it has grown and expanded so much that it ca

[borntofly, 01/03/2007] The Wild Water Park is a must for anyone that is travelling with children. It is great for big kids (adults also). The park is just 20 minutes in from the city centre, it is 12 acres of rides and attractions. In total there are 23 rides catering for the needs of kids, adults and families. For the guests of the Burj Al Arab and Jumeira Beach hotels there is an access within the hotels giving them the opportunity to enjoy Wild Wadi any time they want.
For the kids there are mini aqua parks which they can have fun in and enjoy without their parents. There are also regular entertainment program

[borntofly, 23/02/2007] Whenever I travel to a new place and especially when I am travelling with my children I love to go to the museum to find out the country in questions background and history. It makes both an informative trip and fun day out for the whole family to enjoy.
On our second day in Dubai we went to the Dubai Museum. It is actually based inside the ruins of Al Fahidi Fort. The fort was built in 1787 and has since been restored to such an extent that the countries history and heritage is portrayed beautifully. The fort was opened as a museum in 1971. The museum has a vast array of collections and e
