[Apterea, 26/01/2012] Last summer I spent a night at Emirates Concorde Hotel at Al Maktoum Street, Deira in Dubai. It wasn't a planed visit but having missed my connection flight to Europe I was forced to look for a hotel near the Dubai airport.
While still at the airport terminal I searched on-line on my laptop for a last minute accommodation near by and Emirates Concorde came up with a special offer about 350 AED a night plus taxes. I booked it with my credit card and got a taxi to the hotel.
The hotel was only 5 minutes drive from the airport terminal.
I was very pleased with the hotel. The hotel lobby and

[Mikesh, 05/11/2011] We took the general tour for the desert safari. The car ride over the sand dune was a whatever(basically you go up and down the dunes), not the best fun. The view and pictures taken when we stooped was nice. Would Have preferred the ATV's the people were doing. We then went to one of the camps. They had a camel ride, some goods for sale and lot of food. They had some really good Sheesha too. They didn't have belly dancing going on due to Ramadan. In the camp you could wear some of the traditional clothes for pictures. At the end we were given some traditional tea and coffee. During the meal we

It is the highest building in the world at the present time and probably will keep the honour for some time as the world economic situation doesn’t really lend itself to ambitious projects like this at this point in time. The building was begun in 2004 and was a project that involved experts from around the world.
The next tallest building after is the CN Tower in Toronto at 553.33m a long way short of this one as the exact height of the tower is 828 m and the lift up to the 124t

The Gold Souk is in the Deira part of Dubai and is easy walking distance from the spice souk and the Dubai Creek crossing. This makes it a great place to wander around as there is so much to see.
We were not in the market for gold buying and despite quite like jewellery I am not really into spending a lot of money on this sort of thing when on holiday and my husband is even less interested.
There are a number of small alleys with small shops each selling very similar things. The souk is a very traditional type of shopping area and consists of over 300 retailers all sell

The cost of this tour was AED 250 or about 42 pounds per adult from Ras Al Khaimah and AED 180 or 30 pounds per adult from Dubai. We had the luxury of an extra 3 to 4 hours travelling in the bus for our extra money. The trip is advertised as including: pick up from your hotel, Air conditioned coach, English speaking guide, and mineral water and entrance fees.
We were informed by our representative when we decided to go on the tour that we would have an hour for lunch at the Souk Medinat, Jumeirah and then have from 3 o’ clock at the Dubai Mall w

[suedanda, 17/08/2011] I was here for a exclusive seminar / training during Ramadan months so the place seemed very quiet and serene. The food served during iftar was delicious. The hotel is just near Dubai mall and Burj Khalifa so you can easily go out for shopping or site seeing. The hotel was clean and the pool looked so inviting. The staff was very accomodating and friendly.
[popaki, 07/08/2011] Excellent hotel. excellent service, luxury and fast service. Very kind people. Nice food. Clean hotel. Amazing everything.
[cassandra_the_cat, 03/06/2011] The Royal Ascot impressed us with a nice webpage when we spontaneously booked during the summer. The experience was somewhat less pleasant than we expected. Service was not overly friendly, some of which may be attributed to the summer heat in Dubai.
The room was very big with a spacious bed and big bathroom, with some of the facilities looking a bit dated.
There is a small roof pool with sunchairs and umbrellas available.
Technical facilities are not up to the standard of the hotel - the internet connection in the business center is very slow and has to be paid for. Most of the TV channel

[cassandra_the_cat, 24/05/2011] The Dubai Le Meridien is set right at the beach and impressive in terms of architecture, set-up, and service.
Maybe the smiles are a little bit too polished to be genuine, and the construction sites next door do not add to the experience, but overall we found the hotel quite good for a city that otherwise did not impress us.
[cassandra_the_cat, 24/05/2011] Well, admittedly Dubai was not the best holiday, hot and unfriendly and exhausting and overpriced.
But the last night in the Dubai Premier Inn at the airport was a very welcome break - you can expect exactly the same quality as in any premier inn, and it feels like a breath of fresh air to step right in from the desert and into Britain.
[zena111, 14/05/2011] The hotel is very clean with friendly staff, great breakfast buffet, bathrooms are fully equipped.
The only negative thing is when you order a taxi, sometimes you have to wait 15min, 30min, an hr! It is located on an inside road, where not too many taxis pass by.
[TJT87, 03/03/2011] I had two weeks in this amazing property and cannot stop thinking about it... The Royal Mirage was by far the best experience I ever had with Hotels. The properly is huge and has three major elements. Although it is one of the oldest Hotel in Dubai, it did not lose any glamour and everything is maintained very well. On the huge complex you have the longest, one kilometer long, white sand beach, which is never crowded and six restaurants. Even after being in the Royal Mirage for two weeks, I found new stuff and facilities every day. The six restaurants have different themes, such as Arabic, Asi

[janewoollcott, 08/02/2011] We have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and everytime it just get better. The staff are fanastic and service second to none. Roel one of the managers gives 190% .
You would never be dissapointed.
[AussieJohn, 26/12/2010] Have stayed twice for business conferences, Nov 2010 and several years ago. It has improved, It had to . First visit on arrival I fell from their unguarded driveway and suffered a minor fracture. After helping me from the ground the doorman enquired as to my condition and that was the only concern expressed by the hotel as I hobbeled around for the next few days. Would I stay there again - Not if I had the choice, particularly while the driveway remains unguarded .
[SuperKhalid911, 10/12/2010] This is the best restaurant I've ever went and ever tasted.
I love the design of this place.
I love the theme and the food.
Nice employees.
It's good to watch movie clips and see star's photos / architectures while eating.
I also like the end when you finished eating and time to go home, there are cool merchandise which I bought and always remembered my favorite special place.
I recomended everyone to go to this place.
[magdadh, 08/12/2010] Dragon Mart, or the Chinese Market, was conceived as an exhibition, wholesale and retail space for Chinese goods. It is, apparently, the “the largest trading hub for products from China outside the Chinese mainland and it is not only adorned with a dragon at the front, but also dragon-shaped itself (but you can only see it from above).
For the casual visitor, the Market has showrooms and stores of all kinds, restaurants, fast food outlets and cafes as well as warehouses. It is, essentially, a low-level, long (over 1km long in fact) shopping mall full of Chinese stuff of all kinds, from electr

[magdadh, 08/12/2010] Dubai Airport is a huge regional hub, mostly due to its use by the Emirates airline, connecting destinations in the Middle East, South and South East Asia, Oceania and parts of Africa to Europe and Americas. It is also something of a showcase for this most confident and most glittering of the Emirates, an icon of profligate shopping and building that borders on (if not exceeds) arrogant.
Dubai has artificial islands (one of them looking like the world from air, anyway), ski-slope in the middle of the desert, seven-star hotels, the highest building in the world (looking quite a bit like the t

[magdadh, 28/11/2010] We stopped in Dubai for one night during our flight from Glasgow to Brisbane, just to get ease the time zone change. I was worried that it would be difficult to find a cheap hotel in a place known for opulent excess of commercial nature, but in fact there was plenty of options.
We chose Premier Inn because it offered free shuttle to and from the airport 24 hours a day and family rooms at the same rate as other rooms. We weren't after an “experience but practicalities, and thus a budget network hotel seemed like a reasonable option and at a price that worked out as something around 65 GBP at

[eirini81, 10/08/2010] The hotel is a dream for all tourists. The reception is really friendly. It is luxurius everywhere! The breakfast has everything. And one time we had dinner in our room and the other night we went for dinner at their buffet...so nice...really fantastic!
The location of the hotel is near the metro and so it is in big help for a traveller! One night we went to Burjuman mall, which is very close to our hotel and we had a wonderful cake at the ground floor...
In general, I enjoyed my time in Dubai and one of the best hotels I ever stayed in.
When I returned to Greece I sent them an email to ask abou

[koshkha, 17/06/2010] I am a person with strong opinions but I very rarely get angry. So if I tell you that no hotel has ever made me more furious than the Hyatt Regency in Dubai, you can be sure that I'm not one of those precious types who wants to change rooms because there's a hair on the bathroom floor or I don't like the colour of the curtains. This hotel made a number of massive mess-ups that went beyond what I can forgive as a business traveller.
I was there about 5 years ago and I went with several colleagues to meet a bunch of middle Eastern agents to whom we were launching a range of new products. We'd
