Detailed review by Apterea
Last summer I spent a night at Emirates Concorde Hotel at Al Maktoum Street, Deira in Dubai. It wasn't a planed visit but having missed my connection flight to Europe I was forced to look for a hotel near the Dubai airport.
While still at the airport terminal I searched on-line on my laptop for a last minute accommodation near by and Emirates Concorde came up with a special offer about 350 AED a night plus taxes. I booked it with my credit card and got a taxi to the hotel.
The hotel was only 5 minutes drive from the airport terminal.
I was very pleased with the hotel. The hotel lobby and the reception area is very impressive to say the least, the staff was very friendly and helpful even thought they did not have my booking on their system. It took around 15 minutes for the hotelier website that I made the booking to forward the booking to the hotel. While I was waiting at the lounge by the reception, I was offered a soft drink, and when the booking was confirmed the check in took 2 minutes and I was on my way to my room. The rooms was huge, well made and very, very clean.
I think I still have some photos on my IPhone from the room which I am going to upload here later on. The location was urban and close to local restaurants, coffee shops and shopping centers.
Unfortunately, I didn't have much time to explore the near by area as I was flying out of Dubai early the next morning. I had a meal at a local restaurant and headed back to the hotel. At night there was no noise from the other rooms or the corridor and the bed was very comfortable.
Overall I paid a little less than 400 AED (including taxes) which is still cheap for what's on offer on this hotel. Actually it is a bargain!!!
I would definitely be heading back to Emirates Concorde Hotel on my next visit to Dubai.

I have rate down the features on this hotel only because the advertised FREE Wifi in the room was not actually free. That was the only thing that I didn't like from the hotel.
