On April 2007, my fiance went to Dubai for his business trip for 4 days so I went along as well. His air ticket and the hotel room were paid for by his company. I used to work for an airline so I only pay for my stand-by air ticket.
Getting to the hotel
Once we arrived into the airport, we took a taxi to this 5-star hotel. It took about 20 minutes to get there and costed about AED30 (EUR7).
Check-in
My fiance went to the check in desk to get the key. It was nice and easy and it took about 10 minutes. While he was checking in, I was at the tourist desk to get information about the complimentary shuttle bus services.
Room amenities
The room was really spacious, clean and modern. It has a king size bed with a bedside table on each side and a lamp for each side as well. The room was also equipped with a writing desk, mini bar, satellite television, tea and coffee making facilities, air conditioning, floor to ceiling window, a table with 2 chairs, wardrobe and safe. The bed was so spacious and comfortable. The en-suite bathroom was very clean and equipped with a bath tub with shower, a toilet, a sink and mini shampoo, shower gel and conditioner. The shower was really lovely and hot.
Restaurant
There are 4 restaurants in the hotel serving different cuisines. We went to the Japanese restaurant for dinner once. The restaurant was very nice and modern and the food was very fresh and nice!
Hotel amenities
There is a nightclub on the ground floor and an outdoor pool on the 3rd floor. There is a supermarket downstairs and the price is quite reasonable. There is a complimentary shuttle service to the private Jumeirah Beach Park. The shuttle service starts from 10am. The hotel will provide beach towel for you and pay for your entrance fee normally AED5 (EUR1). They dropped us off inside the park and it took about 20-30 minutes because of the bad traffic. Once we have finished then we can just go back at the drop off point to get the shuttle bus service back to the hotel. There is another complimentary shuttle bus service to the Mall of Emirates. The Ski Dubai is inside this shopping mall and the shopping mall is huge and you can spend a whole day in there. There is a third shuttle service to the airport as well!
Location
The World Trade Centre is just 1 kilometre away and it is a great location for business people.

It was really easy we just had to drop the key.
Recommendation
Overall we really enjoyed our stay. It is highly recommended to stay at this hotel.
