Description: The Roman painted House is Located in the town of Dover in Kent, and is the remains of a Roman Bath House with Painted walls which are still visible today. The house was discovered in 1970 and has undergone a huge excavation. The house has many displays relating to Roman life. It is believed to have been built around 200 AD and to have been a part of a large mansion or official hotel.
It is open from April until the end of September and hours are from 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday to Saturday and 1 pm to 4.30 pm on Sundays. The house is closed on Monday. Admission is £2 for adults, £1.60 for students and 80p for children.
