In January 2002, hotel ambiente opened its doors to guests in the vicinity of Stadtkrone Ost in Dortmund. Therefore, an officers' casino was completely rebuilt. Restaurant and conference rooms are located in the newly-erected side wing of the building. This harmonical combination of old and new architectural styles means exclusivity that you don't have to pay a single extra cent for. Perfectly situated in the green, but conveniently connected to the most important traffic routes. Airport, fair pavilion and the city centre are just a stone's throw away. Standard is what you pay for, exclusivity is what you get. The hotel is located next to the B1 (Bundesstraße 1) which connects Dortmund to Unna, Bochum, Essen etc. This provides ideal links to all surrounding motorways. Arriving by rail from Dortmund Hauptbahnhof (main railway station): - Take the tram U47 towards Aplerbeck and get off at the station "Hauptfriedhof"/"Stadtkrone Ost". This should take about 7 minutes. - Cross the B1and turn into the street "Am Gottesacker". After about 300 meters you will see our hotel on the left-hand side of the street. Arriving by car via the A40: - Head towards Dortmund. - Turn into the street "Am Gottesacker". After 300 metres you will arrive at our hotel on the left-hand side of the street. Arriving by car via the A2: - Head towards Hanover or Dortmund, depending on your starting point. - Change onto the B236 in the direction of Schwerte/Dortmund. - Keep driving towards Schwerte/Rennbahn until you reach the B1, where you should turn towards Unna. - When you reach the next traffic lights, turn left onto "Am Gottesacker". The hotel was built in 2002 and has been completely renovated since then. It consists of a 3 storey main building and a neighbouring building with a total of 36 rooms, of which 16 are doubles, 29 are singles as well as a junior suite. The hotel's facilities include a spacious 2400 m garden. The hotel has a lobby with a 24-hour reception and a safe, a lobby bar and a currency exchange desk. In addition, the hotel contains lifts, a caf, a kiosk, an la carte restaurant with a separate non-smoking area, a conference room and a public Internet terminal. Moreover, room and laundry services are also available. There is a complimentary car park open for guests' use.
