Description: Dating from 1740 Cusworth Hall is now a Grade 1 listed building. Originally built by a local architect, George Platt it has been owned by Doncaster Metropolitan Council since 1961 and now houses the South Yorkshire Museum of Life. This museum depicts the social lives of the people that have lived in this region over the centuries. Their stories are told through various displays and exhibitions. Entry is free.

Facilities include a tea shop, toilets, car park and gift shop. It is fully equipped for wheelchair access.

The opening hours are:

Monday to Friday: from 1030am until 5pm
Saturday: from 1pm until 5pm
Sunday: from 1pm until 5pm
