We stayed in Halcyon Cove in June 2009. It was our Honeymoon and we had pretty high expectation, which unfortunately were not fully met. When we arrived, we had to queue at reception for at least half an hour before we got our keys. When we got to the room, it turned out it was a Garden Room and not the Poolside Room which we had paid extra for. After complaining, we were transferred to a Pool Room which was quite nice - good size, clean and with all necessary amenities. When we booked the holiday, we were told that there would be a complimentary bottle of Champagne and fruit as it was our Honeymoon, which again was not provided on arrival. We did get in the middle of our holiday though.
The hotel itself is nice, with a good location, staff was friendly and helpful, just not organized well enough. A variety of excursions was available at the Tourist Desk. The restaurant food was overpriced so we had to look for alternatives.
Overall, this hotel was not the best choice for a Honeymoon.
