[ValentinaMM, 01/12/2010] What impressed me on Aiolos Hotel before booking it, was the view I saw in a picture in the internet! No one hotel in Delphi had this kind of picture posted, and there are so many hotels lined up in the mountain facing the sea across. So I picked up the Aiolos!
The booking was harder than what I expected. I booked through internet, but I did not get any confirmation except the one from the site and it was recommended to get confirmation by phone. I wrote several mails, finally called, it appeared I had a successful booking, and finally I got the confirmation letter later.

This was a second time I visited Delphi (the first time was in the late 80s) and I am glad I did revisit, as the site was even better the second time round.
If you have a slightest predilection for ruins and antiques, make and effort to go. Of all the antique sites I have seen in Greece (and I have seen most of the important mainland ones) this is probably the best, and certainly in the top three. The setting is superb, the ruins extensive, interesting and beautiful, the museum itself worth a visit.
