The Games will be opened with a spectacular ceremony on the third of October, followed by events in 17 different sports categories ranging from athletics to wrestling, gymnastics, shooting and swimming. The Games will conclude on 14th October with the closing ceremony.
Venues for the Games are spread throughout the city of New Delhi and its environs and major construction and infrastructure projects are already underway to prepare for this important international event.
