We stayed at the Sea Star Lodge end of November 2009. We were so happy to have found Sea Star Lodge in De Kelders/Gansbaai. After having stayed in Hermanus several times during the last years we are more than sure that De Kelders is the much better place to be. Especially when you come there for whale watching or shark cage diving. The whale season starts end of May and lasts until the beginning of January. We also did horse riding on the beach and wonderful walks on the nature trail directly in front of Sea Star Lodge. During our three week journey along the Garden Roude we stayed in several 5 star places and we can say that Sea Star Lodge was the best.
We spent three nights in the wonderful Honeymoon Suite where we even could watch the whales from our freestanding bathtub.Everywhere from the lodge you have amazing seaviews. The lounge where we enjoyed a high quality breakfast is another beautiful place to hang around. Incredible seaviews, very friendly staff, swimming pool, sauna and a small gym make Sea Star Lodge a very special place. It is reasonably priced and we will come again soon. One afternoon we enjoyed an in-house massage by the wonderful massage therapist Ciska. She made us feel so good!
